ForeFun Golf GPS ("we," "us," or "our") operates the ForeFun Golf GPS iOS app and Android app (the "App"), along with associated websites. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how we collect it, why we collect it, and how we share it.

Information We Collect

  • Login information — email, username, or account credentials used to identify your account.
  • Location information — GPS or device location used to show distances and map your position on the course.
  • App usage data — scores, course information, shot logs, and in-app settings you enter.
  • Device data — device type, OS version, IP address, and analytics identifiers used to improve performance.
  • Local storage data — data saved locally on your device by the App.
  • Cookies & similar technologies — used on our websites and within the App for analytics, preferences, and core functionality.

How We Collect Information

  • Provided by you — when you create an account, enter scores, add courses, or contact support.
  • Automatically — through app interactions, location tracking (if enabled), and analytics tools.
  • Backup & sync — if you use Backup / Restore, certain data is backed up or synced to our servers so it can be restored across devices.

Why We Collect Information

  • To provide and personalize app functionality, including GPS distances, score tracking, and analytics.
  • To communicate with you about updates, new features, and support.
  • To analyze usage and improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
  • To support research and development that enhances our services.

How We Share Information

  • Internal use — shared within InfoTalk LLC for app operation, product development, and business analysis.
  • Trusted partners — shared with service providers who assist with analytics and operations, subject to confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal requirements — disclosed when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
  • Third-party services — certain features rely on third-party services (such as analytics or map providers) that have their own privacy policies.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases on iOS are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Subscription purchases on Android are processed entirely by Google through Google Play. ForeFun Golf GPS does not collect, store, or have access to your payment card information. Please refer to Apple's or Google's privacy policy for details on how payment data is handled.

Security of Information

We employ SSL encryption, firewalls, and access controls to protect your information. However, no system can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

Data Retention

Cloud backup data is retained as long as you maintain an active account. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Local data stored on your device can be deleted by removing the App.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed specifically at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Third-Party Services

Our apps and websites may link to or use third-party services. These third parties may collect information in accordance with their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party sites or services.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting unless otherwise stated. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Terms of Service

By downloading or using ForeFun Golf GPS, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Permission to Use the App

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your personal devices in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App except as expressly permitted.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
  • Sublicense, sell, rent, or transfer the App or your rights to it.
  • Use the App on a network in a way that allows multiple users to access it simultaneously without authorization.

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Updates & Support

We may update the App from time to time. We are not obligated to provide updates, new features, or technical support. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time.

Legacy Licenses and Lifetime Access

"Lifetime" refers to the functional lifespan of the specific version of the App at the time of purchase, not the user's lifetime. Legacy one-time purchases are version-locked and do not include new premium features added after the original purchase. We are not responsible for OS incompatibilities that arise after five years of the original purchase, and reserve the right to discontinue legacy license support after five years of active use without refunds.

Warranty Disclaimer

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Use of the App is at your sole risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, InfoTalk LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

Termination

Your license to use the App terminates automatically if you violate any of these Terms. Upon termination, you must delete all copies of the App from your devices.

Third-Party Services

The App may rely on or link to third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We assume no responsibility for third-party services.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ohio. Users in the EU, Switzerland, Norway, or Iceland may have additional rights under applicable local law.
